What’s It Going to Take?

Introduction

There comes a point in life — in all our lives — when we stop and ask ourselves, What’s it going to take? It’s that quiet but urgent question that surfaces when we know something has to change. When we sense that what once worked, or we thought worked,  no longer fits. When we realize that coasting through the familiar isn’t the same as living fully.

Reflection

The question isn’t always comfortable. It’s often born in moments of fatigue, frustration, or fear. We look at our circumstances — our health, our work, our relationships, our purpose — and we realize that if we don’t act, we risk getting stuck in a story that no longer serves us.And yet, “What’s it going to take?” is not a cry of defeat. It’s a spark. It’s a declaration that we are still willing to engage, to grow, to take the next direction — even if that direction is uncertain.

Insight

For many, what it’s going to take is honesty — the courage to name what’s really happening. For others, it’s discipline — the daily, sometimes invisible work of showing up. And for all of us, it’s belief — the quiet but unbreakable trust that life still has more to give, and we still have more to offer.Change doesn’t always arrive in grand gestures. Change doesn’t always appear on our horizon as a lightning bolt in an evening sky.  Often, it begins with a whisper: “Try again.” “Forgive yourself.” “Make the call.” “Do it.” Each of these small acts adds up to a larger truth — that motion itself is life.

Takeaway

So, what’s it going to take for you? Maybe it’s time. Maybe it’s support. Maybe it’s permission — to start over, to dream again, to “AgeLoudly!”. Because the real answer to the question isn’t about circumstance. It’s about choice. Choose to re-engage. Choose to grow. Choose to live on your terms — fully, visibly, loudly….with purpose….its a new crossroad in life (simnillar to the crossroads portrayed in the image above)….make the decision…..”Do It!”….

That’s what it’s going to take.
